Tosch Laboratory, Inc.
Easy steps to email you restoration design to Tosch Laboratory
Emailing your restoration:
You can send your restoration design to Tosch Laboratory and we can mill either a Luna all Translucent Zirconia crown or bridge, or we can make an  e.max crown and return it to you ready to stain and glaze and seat.  The steps are quick and we can usually ship your finished case back to you in as little as three working days.

When you plan to make a Luna Translucent Zirconia Crown you will need to select "Reduced" instead of "Biogeneric" in the Design Technique window.  This is the window where you select Inlay or onlay, Veneer, Crown or Bridge.)

For a more more detailed outline of procedures go to Step-by-Step instructions with images.

Here are the simple steps to email your design or scan to Tosch Laboratory.

1.  Scan the preparation and opposing or antagonist as usual.

2.  Design the restoration being sure the occlusion and contacts are exactly as you want them.
We will not modify the design in any way  unless you specifically instruct us to do so.

3.  When the restoration is finished, save it as usual,  then click on the "Restoration" button at the top left corner of the page.

4.  On the “drop-down” menu click on the “Export” Button.

5.  In the new window that opens, click on the “Desktop” Icon.

6.  Enter the patients name and tooth number in the “file name” space and click “Save.”

7.  The restoration is now saved on your desktop and ready to attach to the email.

8.  Most standard email systems cannot handle files as large as Cerec files so you will need to use one of the email services like Filemail.com.

9.  Just open your internet home page and type in filemail.com.   An email form will appear.  Enter david@davidtosch.com on the top   line and fill in the “message” block.

10.  Click the “Browse for File” button and you should be taken to your “desktop.”  Double click on the name of the Cerec restoration you just saved and the file will be attached to the email.

11.  You will be returned to the form you just filled out.   Click the “Send” button and in a few seconds we will have the restoration  ready to mill.

A couple of other notes:
We use the “message file” as our prescription.  Please fill it out as you would any prescription with all the pertinent information.  Also, include your name and doctor number and your shipping address.

If you prefer, we can design the restoration for you.  Just send your scan and we will do everything else.  There is an additional fee for this service.  If we do the design, it will probably take a few crowns for us to “zero in” on the fit you prefer.
If Tosch Laboratory is going to do the design, please do the following before sending the scan.
1. Mark the margins and be sure they are correct.
2.  Be sure the prep scan and the antagonist (or opposing) scan correlate properly.

Filemail.com is one of several mail services for large files.  This one is especially easy to use and it is free for occasional use.

About the restorations:
Luna crowns are are color infiltrated prior to sintering.  They will probably need some additional staining and will need to be glazed after you receive them.

E.max crowns are milled out of the block of the lightest shade selected.  (if you choose B1 incisal and A3 dentin) the e.max crown will be returned “B1” and unglazed.  The incisal shading will be added before crystallization.

If you prefer, crowns can be stained and glazed in the lab prior to shipping.  Please contact us for the additional fees.
