Ever since I opened Tosch Laboratory, Inc. in 1979 our goal has been to “Make Teeth, not crowns.”   We strive to create beautiful esthetics while maintaining occlusal harmony with surrounding dentition.  We do our best to provide each dentist with the specific strength of mesial and distal contacts he or she desires.  To achieve this goal it has been necessary to stay on the cutting edge of the technology in the Dental Industry.  Over the years we have constantly evaluated new techniques and systems as they came along and often, disappear.  Only after a new technology had proven to be a long term benefit to our customers did we add it to our product list.  We are confident that the products and services we offer are the absolute best options available.  To that end, we purchased our Cerec inLab unit in 2005 and began producing zirconia crowns and bridges as well as IPS Empress and Vitablock crowns.  In 2009 we added e.max CAD, e.max Press and then e.maxZirc press-to zirconia crowns and bridges to our offerings.  Now we have added LUNA, translucent all zirconia crowns and they look great and are virtually indestructible.  We can even provide you with burs should you ever have to remove a zirc. crown, Free!

Fit and Function:
If one is willing to take the time (and has the ability), it is easy to make a beautiful crown.  Making a beautiful crown that has “proper” function is another story.  Often, creating a functional crown results in a poor function and occlusal interference.   Over the years I have learned techniques that balance form and function with minimal effect on the esthetic quality of our crowns.

Crowns and Bridges Restorations to Implants:
We have been making Implant based restorations since the late 1980s.  We have produced thousands of single and multi unit cases over the years using most of the major types of Implants including Zimmer and Nobel Biocare (titanium and ceramic).  We can help with selecting the appropriate size and contour to best fit the space available.  We will "prep" the Titanium implant to make the restoration as esthetically harmonious with the surrounding tissue and dentition as possible.

All Ceramic Restorations:
Tosch Laboratory has been creating all-ceramic restorations since 1980.  The technology back then was not quite what it is today but the crowns looked surprisingly good.  We made a platinum foil Matrix over the die and applied Vita "Aluminous Porcelain"  much in the same way we make PFM's today.
In 2005 we added CAD/CAM technology to our lab by purchasing one of the first Cerec inLab®, milling systems in the state of Alabama.  We do not outsource anything.  Every Zirconia, e.max and Empress crown is created, start to finish, at Tosch Laboratory.  This gives us total control over the design and fit of every unit.
Today we are able to offer several all-ceramic solutions:
1.   Zirconium crowns and bridges created with Vita VM9 Porcelain.
2.   E.max Pressed ceramics to Zirconia copings and bridge frameworks.
3.   Empress® milled crowns and Veneers.
4.   e.max®, Empress® and OPC pressed ceramic crowns and veneers.
5.   e.max®, Empress® CAD/CAM milled crowns and veneers.
6.   Luna all ceramic, translucent zirconia crowns.
7.   We could actually still make a Vita Aluminous Jacket crown too!

Lithium Disilicate: IPS e.max® by Ivoclar Vivadent
IPS e.max® delivers the ultimate in metal free esthetics and strength utilizing both Pressable and CAD/CAM technologies.  With our in-house Sirona inLab milling system, we are able to design and fabricate beautiful restorations in as little as one day.

Porcelain Fused to Gold or Palladium Restorations:
We use high or medium gold content alloys as well as palladium alloys for our PFM restoration.  Rexillium III is available when extra strength is needed.  Our primary porcelains for PFMs are Vita and Synspar.  We can match all ceramic restoration to the
Vita 3D or Vita Classic shade guides.  We can also match any shade tab provided.

Full Cast Gold Restorations:
Full cast crowns are constructed with the same techniques as our porcelain crowns insuring the most accurate fit and function possible.

Composite Restorations:
We make veneers, Inlays and full crowns from Sculpture Plus Composite material.  Sculpture is one of the most natural looking inlay materials I have ever used.  Sculpture is a clinically proven material containing polycarbonate dimethacrylate (PCDMA) that provides superior chip, stain and water resistance.

Ceramic Restorations to 97% Pure Gold Substructures: (Auribond 97)
Originally we tried Bio 2000 for our ultra high gold content copings.  Bio 2000 alloy is 99.7% pure gold and is a beautiful metal.  We had a problem with margin stability so I switched to Auribond 97.  This metal, Auribond 97, is 97.7% pure gold with 2% platinum and provides a stronger coping and stable margins.  We have now been using this metal for over 10 years and have produced hundreds of restorations with virtually no problems.  Please note:  These alloys do not work well with bleached shades or crowns in the B1 and 1M1 shade range.  We do not recommend using Auribond 97 for molars.

Sinterkor Restorations:
Sinterkor copings for ceramic restorations are virtually identical to Captek copings. These crowns look natural and are quite stable.  I do not recommend Sinterkor for bleached or very light shades.

Tosch laboratory offers many additional services and products.  We are skilled in the use of almost all precision attachments and semi-precision attachments.  We can also provide diagnostic wax-ups for any type or size case.  Please ask about our other services.

All crown and bridgework is fully guaranteed.  If you are not happy with any product we make, we will correct the problem or there will be no charge.
